Ciao I’m Fabio, from Rome, Italy.
In the past few years, I had a lot of action in my life. And so, three things I’ve realized:
/ Beauty happens, catching it
is just a matter of timing
/ Frequent flyer programs are
a scam
/ Dinosaurs didn’t go extinct because of a meteorite, the government is hiding something
I began working in post-production for cinema, TV series, commercials - usually on the ugliest ones.
Then I continued travelling the world with a camera and a tripod, shooting short films and promos for tourism boards of exotic destinations, online booking agencies (eDreams, Opodo, Travelbook), safari operators, strange hotels, and weird characters. I insisted, stubbornly, until some of these videos went viral.
In 2016, together with two friends of a lifetime,
I founded Wow Tapes, a video agency with the sole mission of taking awe back to planet earth. Since then, we have been working with clients such as Enel, FS Italian Railways, Manfrotto, Saatchi & Saatchi, Egeos, Soundreef, and consistently for several tourism boards all over the world.
Our first self production, Wow Tapes: Italia, an ode to the country we hate and love madly, was featured on major Italian and international magazines (La Stampa, Il Sole 24 Ore, Vanity Fair, Wired, etc). It gained over 15 nominations and awards in international festivals.

a Lockdown Tale
Is a short film shot in april 2020, in italy, alone, at home.
While the planet focuses on how empty the “outside” was, I had the luck of noticing the richness of the “inside”. I’ve always believed growing up was about experiences and progress, I was wrong.
It was also about facing a buried past made of difficult memories, old game boys, sweet melancholy, and vhs.
